Welcome to Omanu Beach SLSC

Omanu Beach Surf Life Saving Club is the largest Surf Life Saving Club in the Bay of Plenty.

About Us

Every year thousands of people come down to Omanu Beach and are kept safe by the service the club provides.

This service would not be possible without the full support of both volunteers and sponsors to keep our beaches safe every summer.

Omanu Beach pride ourselves on being a family Club. We have the largest Junior Surf programme in New Zealand with over 400 junior members.

Our core business is lifeguarding, we offer a number of opportunities to up skill and educate our volunteer lifeguards.

Surf sport is an option from age 10 years upwards.

We are currently the New Zealand Under 14 and Masters  Champions.

Denny EnrightHuge effort by our Omanu Team in trying conditions which had the off tough calls from the Bay of Plenty Officials who had to adjust the program on the two days. So thank you to all the officials on behalf of all attending clubs for the way you all handled the conditions over the two days. Great result from Whangamata to take out the championships and Omanu Beach congratulates you all and your coaches on a top performances.
