Omanu travelled with competitors to the Gizzy Champs held in Midway.
The team has had limited competitions so far with the weather disturbances but we had great results in what was a relatively small turnout but with some intense racing.
In the U19 girls Danielle O’Connor won the U19 Surf Race, and U19 Run Swim Run, Siobhan Wright won U19 Ski race and Ashley Cochrane won the U19 Board race.
The girls teamed up on day two and took out the U19 Taplin, the U19 Board relay with Ashley, Alex Sefton and Danielle, and Danielle and Ashley won the U19 Board Rescue.
In the boys individual races Ben Cochrane won the U16 Ski, the Board race and Ironman.
The team is gearing up for a big weekend at Mount Beach both Saturday and Sunday for the Eastern Regional Carnival.
