Omanu Swim Club

With a strong community focus, Omanu Swim Club caters to athletes of all ages and abilities.

Omanu Swim Club is closely aligned and very much a part of the Omanu Beach Surf Lifesaving Club. The goals, values and people are the same and our swim club is there to benefit  and support our members (nippers, lifeguards, and competitors) from general fitness to specialised training programmes .

If you have any questions or concerns at all please contact in the first instance

Further information on Omanu Swim Club including latest news can be found here.

Squad Information

Our specialised swim programmes are developed under Omanu Swim Coach Stefan Swanepoel.

Training frequency and session times vary depending on ability as per squad information or can be individually developed in liaison with the Omanu coaches.
More information on our different squads can be found here.

We offer both morning and afternoon training sessions to those athletes that require additional work on their swimming.

It is expected swimmers are at the poolside 10 minutes earlier than your swim training start time, with the correct gear and a desire to be the best you can be.

Payments for the swim club are to be paid as a season fee and are due at the time of registration.

Thank you to everyone who has already made payments. Please note that this account is different from the Surf Club’s account, and payments should be made into the correct/relevant bank accounts.

Trish MauThanks Stefan Swanepoel - it was great to be back in the pool. The pool looks great - thanks to Ian for his liaising with MMC with our requirements and getting the pool finished, filled and heated within a tight time frame, and thanks to Carl Sandford for his help in getting the bolts set for the lane ropes - looking good!!

Apologies to all our members ... Due to the paint not drying as quickly as expected, the College has decided not to begin filling or heating the pool, until this week. We are certain that Omanu Swim Club will be up and operating from Monday, 15th May.

Further apologies to our members who did not receive the pertinent email advising our members of the delayed starting date for Term 2.

If you weren't notified, please email so that your address can be put onto our database and you will then receive all future relevant information.
